TRADITIONAL VIENNA – JAROSINSKI & VAUGOIN

THE HISTORY OF THE JAROSINSKI & VAUGOIN SILVERSMITHS BEGINS IN 1847

Vienna, the heart of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, is the European leader in the manufacture of gold and silverware. Carl Vaugoin specialised early on in heavy, hand-beaten cutlery and, in doing so, laid the foundation for today’s successful silver production at the highest level.

The criteria of quality, elegance and usability have been deeply ingrained in the company’s philosophy from the very beginning and are still reflected in the workmanship of every single piece today.

Although mechanical and industrial production has long since found its way into almost all areas of everyday life and production, there are still traditional companies where, according to time-honoured methods, each piece is shaped and finished at the hand of master craftsmen.
