The ALBERTINA is a modern museum with exhibitions of worldwide renown, such as those from artists Dürer, Munch, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Rubens, etc. Based on the collection of Duke Albert of Saxony Teschen, founded over two hundred years ago, the ALBERTINA has developed into Austria’s most successful and popular museum today, reflecting a unique symbiosis of historical tradition and modern museum. 

The ALBERTINA’s collections consist of more than one million works of art, including major works by countless old masters such as Dürer, Rembrandt, Breughel, Michelangelo, Da Vinci, but also modern and contemporary pieces from artists such as Picasso, Klimt, Schiele, Kokoschka, Warhol, Baselitz, Richter, Kiefer, Longo, Alex Katz or Keith Haring.
